A European Family Office that consists of family members from successive generations have created an opening for a Chairperson of the Supervisory Board. For an industry veteran with significant experience of dealing with family offices/ultra high net worth individuals (UHNWI’s), this could be an ideal position as part of one’s portfolio.

A part-time role, the objective of the position is to be an independent voice that is able to take the lead, bring coherence & exert discipline on the Council particularly within an investment context. The assets for the family are overseen by a Chief Investment Officer / Asset allocator and managed by external professional asset managers. The family has several branches that together form the family council.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional from a background that demonstrates initiative as well as a deep appreciation of family offices and how they operate. A track record acquired within the family office/private client world that demands respect is a must in order to undertake this role. Personal charactertistics are of primary importance; first rate communication skills, a natural gravitas, and a high level of energy tempered with diplomatic and asssertive qualities.

Ideally, the successful individual will also possess knowledge of banking, portfolio management and private equity. An appetite has been expressed by the family for an investment approach that is geared more towards a private equity/direct investment.

As a guide, this role will require two or three days a month.
